Let Alexandra Park cook Christmas dinner on the 22nd
With the early onset of summer Alexandra Park says it has the perfect solution which will allow families to relax
outside on Christmas day rather than slaving over a hot stove. That is - have someone else cook your family a sumptuous
Christmas dinner on Friday, 22 December.
Alexandra Park’s popular Christmas At the Races evenings have been packed out since mid-November, with the remaining
evenings nearly sold out but the 22nd is still offering the best availability, says Danielle Upton, Sales & Events Coordinator.
“For some work parties the 22nd might be a bit too close to Christmas, but for families wanting to de-stress their
Christmas day coming to Alexandra Park just three days before for a big traditional dinner could be perfect! What’s more
our packages are priced exceptionally well when you consider the cost of putting on all the trimmings at home, and the
time!
“We’ve still got Holly packages priced at $80 per person in the Hobson Room which includes our premium Christmas buffet,
a drink on arrival and great views of the track. Alternatively, people can opt for the Pohutukawa packages in Top of the
Park at $148 per person which includes our premium buffet along with a premium drinks package and the best view at
Alexandra Park.”
The premium Christmas buffet includes glazed champagne ham, chilled seafood including whole king prawns and half shell
oysters, roast turkey, fresh Akaroa salmon, all the Christmas condiments, an array of vegetables and salads, and
delicious desserts to choose from.
Ms Upton says there also remains some availability on Saturday, 16 December.
Alexandra Park’s Christmas buffet is renowned for its generousness and tastiness. Matched with some exciting harness
racing under lights, it makes for a great night out. Then after the last race, everyone gets together at The Alex Bar & Eatery to enjoy some live entertainment.
Sales & Marketing Manager, Joel Reichardt, says dining packages for Auckland Cup Day on New Year’s Eve are now also available.
On 31 December, there’ll be first-class racing, plenty of free family activities, and then after the races a fireworks’
display and performance by band Split Second.
