HRV Solar – Harness the Sun’s Energy to Power Your Home

HRV Solar – Harness the Sun’s Energy to Power Your Home

HRV has been working with Kiwi families to create their perfect home invironmentTM for over a decade, and following its acquisition by Vector, is now set to release its most exciting offering yet – HRV Solar, allowing Kiwis to make the sun work for them.

“As part of our on-going vision to help improve Kiwi homes by making them warm, dry and comfortable, HRV Solar builds on years of expertise and experience in NZ homes to offer the latest in-home solar technologies that complement the range of HRV solutions,” says Bruce Gordon, CEO of Eco-Products Group (owner of HRV).

“Solar technology has developed to a point of being useful for residential customers and we’re excited to offer it to New Zealand home owners.”

In a single hour, the amount of power from the sun that strikes the Earth is more than the entire world consumes in a year*. So, after 4.6 billion years**, it’s time for all New Zealanders to be able to harness this plentiful resource.

Quite simply, installing a Solar Solution allows Kiwis to take advantage of the clean and sustainable energy from the sun’s rays to power their homes. Solar panels capture solar energy, which can be converted and used by the home’s existing electrical system. This power will be generated whenever the sun is shining, and can be used at the time with panel only systems or 24/7 if the home has a battery to store solar energy.

HRV Solar is backed by Vector who are on a mission to create a new energy future. Gordon says, “The backing of Vector has allowed us to combine expertise from PowerSmart and the Vector Group in order bring this exciting new offering to the New Zealand market.”

And what better way to launch HRV Solar, than by teaming up with the weather experts, MetService, to educate New Zealanders about the potential of the NZ sun. MetService will provide daily kilowatt hour reports (the way in which solar energy is measured), that will allow people to see how much sun they can harness to power their homes.

HRV Solar is currently available to Auckland homes, and will extend nationwide in 2018. You can find out more, including your home’s solar potential, at www.hrvsolar.co.nz
