Paperboy Launches Its First Wellington Issue
The free city magazine Paperboy is launching its first Wellington edition today.
Paperboy is a magazine for urban dwellers who love the cities they live in, and are keen to get the most out of them.
Its inaugural Wellington edition features an interview with Jemaine Clement, a feature on Wellington chef Monique Fiso, a tour of Cuba Street Malaysian food joints, and the latest style, culture, urbanism and food news in the city.
The magazine launched its Auckland edition a year ago after identifying an appetite for a free publication that would help readers unlock the best of the city. Wellington was an obvious next step.
“Right from the start, we had Wellingtonians telling us that we should have launched in the capital first,” says Paperboy’s editor, Jeremy Hansen. “As a former Wellingtonian, I get that, because Wellington has always set the standard for New Zealand urbanity.”
As well as showcasing the best of the cities it publishes in, Paperboy advocates for the positive development of our cities, running stories on cycleways and public transport initiatives, well-designed denser housing, green initiatives and interviews with urbanists about how to resolve the challenges cities face in the 21st century.
Paperboy’s Wellington edition is launched with the generous support of H, to celebrate the opening of the brand’s new store in the Queensgate Shopping Centre. 30,000 copies of the magazine have been printed, with some distributed through letterboxes, and free copies available at H’s new store as well as these destinations:
