Jade Software appoints new CEO

CHRISTCHURCH, October 13, 2017

New Zealand software solutions export leader Jade Software Corporation (Jade) has appointed Charlotte Walshe as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), following an extensive Australasian search.

Jade Board Chairperson Sue Suckling said: “We are delighted to welcome Charlotte Walshe as Jade CEO, at this formative time in the company’s journey. As well as coming from a technology background with a strong customer focus, she brings extensive experience in strategic leadership, building high performing teams, and innovating for growth.”

“We would also like to acknowledge and sincerely thank Jason Court for his tenure as interim CEO of Jade and for his ongoing commitment to the business, which is reflected in the fact that he will remain in a handover CEO capacity to ensure a smooth transition for Jade’s staff and customers,” said Ms Suckling.

Charlotte Walshe has extensive executive leadership and corporate governance experience, primarily in the technology sector. For the past 10 years, she has served as CEO for Dynamic Controls, a manufacturer of innovative electronic operating solutions for medical equipment such as wheelchairs. During this time, she led the company through strategic change in response to market disruption, and associated organisational culture development, alongside project delivery to key customers.

She has held a number of governance roles with companies and organisations in the broader software and technology sectors, including directorships with NZ Trade & Enterprise, The Dodd-Walls Centre for Photonic and Quantum Technologies, and Enable Services.
