youwork, NZ's Newest Job Search Platform, Launched

youwork, New Zealand's newest Job Search platform has just been launched.

youwork uses social media to direct employment opportunities to candidates based on thei interests, study history, current employment and other variables.

“We see this approach as being the best way to ensure that employers are getting the most out of their job advertising” says Hamish McCarthy, youwork’s Founder.

Our platform focuses on finding candidates and students the best jobs that suit their needs through the use of advanced keyword searching and social media interaction. This feature doesn't just search our database by job titles, it searches through the jobs description, company, tag s attached to the job listing and social media platforms.

Included, as part of our cost-effective package, employers can add logos, links and other information. This allows candidates direct access to their website, company office profile and other details that are relevant. “Our intention is to make youwork a community where employers can post information that showcases their workplace, values and environment,” says McCarthy. “In the future we will also be holding networking events for both employers and candidates.”

Looking for your first or new job should be an exciting experience and we want to give candidates the best information possible. We will give them access to relevant jobs, content and social media that allow them to make the most appropriate decision.

youwork is a New Zealand owned and operated venture that was launched by McCarthy after being frustrated with applying for opportunities. McCarthy also worked in a number of small and medium businesses that were having difficulties with the current platforms available.

“Our target market is all New Zealand businesses that want a different approach to job marketing with a personal touch. Initially, we are concentrating on the Auckland market and will be progressively moving to other cities.” Says McCarthy.
