Property Search Tool ‘My Property’ Has Moved
‘My Property’ has moved
The property search tool ‘My Property’, which allows the search of a property address to find its land zone and technical category following the 2010/11 earthquakes, has moved.
Initially developed by the Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority (CERA) to enable property owners to find out information about post-earthquake zoning, the tool is now called ‘My Land Zone’ and can be found via the Environment Canterbury’s website under Canterbury Maps.
Miles McConway, Environment Canterbury’s Director of Finance and Corporate Services says, “My Land Zone is a logical addition to the information already available on the Canterbury Maps pages. Canterbury Maps continues to be developed as a platform to easily show land information and many of the Canterbury Maps users will be the same businesses and individuals who are searching for the zoning and technical category information of a particular property”.
The information pulling through to My Land Zone regarding post-earthquake zoning is available for all Christchurch properties and those in the parts of Selwyn and Waimakariri districts where the land zone was mapped. The site outlines the zone (eg green) and the technical category (eg TC2, yellow). This gives searchers information about whether the land can be built on and any technical specifications that need to be taken into account.
