A select few from around the country will be able to get their hands on the very first edition during pre-sale, as only 5,000 are being created in the first batch. Also, Mr Monopoly himself will unveil the board on 2nd November, at an action packed ceremony with Wellington’s Mayor, Justin Lester.
Still the countries best kept secret, the best Wellington places, transports and utilities that will feature on the board are still to be announced. Following the announcement last May that New Zealand’s capital was to be immortalised with its very own official MONOPOLY board, local Wellingtonian residents had the chance to say what hot properties they wanted to see on the board.
There is regional manhunt on for Wellington’s biggest Monopoly enthusiast, with the coveted prize up for grabs to attend the launch of the board, including exclusive access to the after party. With the winner announced on October 19th, Wellingtonians can find out more information about how to enter on the official Facebook page here -www.facebook.com/WellingtonMonopoly
