Small Fonterra Kiwi team wins silver high-tech award against global giants

Competing against the likes of Google, global manufacturing group Siemens, and pharmaceutical giant Bayer AG;Fonterra’s small Learning Solutions team, in partnership with New Zealand consultancy Sysdoc, has won the Silver Award for 'Best Learning Team' at America’s Brandon Hall Human Capital Management Academy awards announced in Florida.

Other award winners include international brand names: General Motors, Bank of America, Boeing, American Express, Royal Dutch Shell, Volvo, Dell Computers, Cisco, Pfizer, Pepsi Co and Hyatt.

Now entering its 23rd year, the Brandon Hall Group Excellence Awards Program is the world’s most significant learning awards programme and is known as “the Academy Awards of learning, talent and business executives”.

The Excellence Awards recognise the best organisations which have successfully deployed programs, strategies, modalities, processes, systems, and tools that have achieved measurable results. The program attracts entrants from leading corporations around the world, as well as mid-market and smaller firms.

The awards will be presented at a conference to be held from January 30-February 1, next year in Palm Beach Gardens, Florida.

“Winning a Brandon Hall Group Excellence Award means an organisation is an elite innovator within Human Capital Management (HCM),” says said Rachel Cooke, Chief Operating Officer of Brandon Hall Group and head of the awards program. “An award signifies that an organisation’s work represents a leading practice in that HCM function and the achievement is also notable because of the positive impact their work in HCM has on business results. All award winners have to demonstrate a measurable benefit to the business, not just the HCM operation.”

“Our strategy is to keep on top of the technological and latest learning methodologies curve through attendance at conferences and investment in R&D and to ensure that everything we do makes a measurable difference to Fonterra.”
