2017 GasNZ Industry Forum September Update
2017 GasNZ Industry Forum September Update
Online registration is now open for this year’s Gas NZ Industry Forum, November 7-9 at the Wairakei Resort Taupo.
If you want to know where gas fits in a low carbon future, the generational change looming for gas and LPG, world LPG pricing and trading, the GIC report card for the gas industry, where to next for the LPG industry, or a whole host of other questions and answers then you really should register. Click here to take you to the on-line registration site.
The Forum will get underway with a “Risk Assessment” workshop on the afternoon of Tuesday 7 November. The workshop tackles the question What does ALARP/ISFARP mean in practice and can these concepts really be applied, or is the deployment of every possible mitigation the only credible protection? There is a small additional $50 + GST charge for this to cover costs.
Following the workshop, there will be welcome cocktails on the Tuesday evening before the presentations get underway on Wednesday morning.
A Forum highlight will be the debate about the role of gas in a low carbon future. A panel debate is a first for the Forum, and it is expected to generate some lively discussion from a range of respected commentators; Director of New Zealand Centre for Global Studies, Kennedy Graham; Chief Executive of First Gas, Paul Goodeve; Business NZ Manager of Energy, Environment and Infrastructure, John Carnegie; Chief Executive of Gas Industry Company, Steve Bielby and Professor Ralph Sims of Massey University. The panel session will be refereed by well-known Industry commentator John Hancock, who will ensure fair play.
With an Ambrose tournament at the Taupo Golf Course, a lake cruise and a visit to the Contact Energy Te Mihi geothermal power station, Peter says the forum is also an excellent networking opportunity.
Delegates, who are employed by organisations which are members of either the LPG or Gas Associations, or who are individual members of the NZIGE, pay just $615 + GST. Non-members pay $735 + GST.
The Forum venue has accommodation available, which you will need to book separate to your Forum registration. An accommodation booking form is available from the registration website.
Finally there are Trade Display spaces still available, should you wish to use the Forum as a way to profile your business to fellow industry players. Contact Peter Gilbert peter@lpga.org.nz As the only forum that is dedicated exclusively to the NZ gas industry, you don’t want to miss out.
