NZ Butchers to Compete for Top Spot


Today the battle is on to find the nation’s top butcher and butcher apprentice. Twenty finalists, 10 in each category will vie for the prestigious titles of Alto Butcher and Competenz Butcher Apprentice of the Year for 2017.

At this year’s Grand Final, contestants will complete a two-hour practical cutting test, with those in the apprentice category also facing an interview and written exam. The competition, held at Auckland’s Shed 10, will be followed by a black-tie dinner where the winners will be announced.

Full results, including photos / quotes, will be announced via a press release this evening. If you wish to request any specific photos or quotes from contestants please let me know.
