Finalists named for 2017 NZAMI Immigration Awards
The New Zealand Association for Migration and Investment (NZAMI) has announced the finalists in its 2017 Immigration Awards.
NZAMI is the largest membership organisation representing immigration professionals in New Zealand. Its members have expertise and broad first-hand knowledge of how immigration policies affect migrants and New Zealand businesses.
“Migrants make a significant contribution to New Zealand both economically and culturally. Our awards seek to acknowledge and celebrate those migrants whose personal efforts and achievements during the past year make them outstanding and an asset to their communities. We also aim to achieve a high level of service and professionalism among immigration specialists in New Zealand and these awards recognise the best in our industry,” explains NZAMI chair June Ranson.
The awards are presented in five categories: Migrant of the Year; Immigration Adviser or Lawyer of the Year; Community Outreach; NZAMI Service Award and NZAMI Hall of Fame. ANZ Bank sponsors three award categories.
Ms Ranson says the awards received a record number of entries this year and the independent judges remarked upon the high calibre of entrants.
“I would like to thank our sponsor, those who nominated entrants and the judges for their time and professionalism,” says Ms Ranson.
The awards will be presented at a gala dinner during the NZAMI Conference in Auckland on August 18.
