Great food fast and easy with new range from My Food Bag
At the end of a long, super-busy day what could be more convenient than a freshly prepared, hand-made meal, designed by a team of chefs? My Food Bag is making it even easier to put great food on the table with the launch of a limited edition range of Heat & Eat meals that can be included as an add-on to a regular My Food Bag order, under the new brand From My Kitchen by Nadia.
Busy New Zealanders are in for healthy dinners the easy way, according to My Food Bag Founder and Co-CEO Cecilia Robinson. “We’re thrilled to take this next step on the My Food Bag journey. We’ve identified a need for top quality, freshly made meals which are simple to prepare and nutritious. They are just the thing for busy professionals and families who still want to provide their families with healthy meals. Just heat, and enjoy!” she says.
From My Kitchen by Nadia meals can be added as an extra to regular My Food Bag orders for an ultra-convenient and delicious meal. Customers can subscribe to a chicken or beef/lamb option with the family-sized meals priced at $39.99, each offering four servings. All of the meals come complete with a side dish that includes fresh seasonal veggies.
Nadia Lim says, “We’ve translated some of our most popular My Food Bag recipes into easy to prepare meals that can be popped in the oven. These meals use the same, high-quality ingredients that you see in our Food Bags – premium produce that is locally sourced wherever possible and top quality free range chicken and free farmed New Zealand meats. It is a fast solution, but it isn’t fast food.”
Each week two meals will be available. Meals in the first week include chicken and vegetable pie with garlic greens and a slow-cooked beef massaman peanut curry with Asian greens.
Lim says the new range of meals are a great option to add on to any of the current Food Bags: “Customers have responded incredibly well to the idea of us sorting out another meal option during their weeks, rather than resorting to takeaways or beans on toast on an action-packed evening.”
The From My Kitchen by Nadia range will also include other crafted products including bespoke spice blends, chutneys and sauces.
From My Kitchen by Nadia add-on meals launch on Wednesday 12 July, with first deliveries on Sunday 23 July.
About My Food Bag & Bargain Box:
My Food Bag launched its home delivery service into New Zealand in 2013. Customers order online and receive food bags containing recipes for a week’s main dinner meals. The bags contain best in season, fresh ingredients that are locally sourced where possible.
All My Food Bag recipes are developed according to co-founder Nadia Lim’s Nude Food philosophy of ignoring the hype, trusting your instincts and eating real food.
The My Food Bag and Bargain Box business is the brainchild of entrepreneur Cecilia Robinson, founder and co-CEO alongside her husband James Robinson. Prominent New Zealand businesswoman Theresa Gattung is also involved in the business as an active shareholder, co-founder and director. Business leader Kevin Roberts is chairman of the My Food Bag board.
In October 2016 My Food Bag announced it had successfully secured investment from Waterman Capital. This partnership will support My Food Bag in achieving its ambition to IPO within the next three years to raise further capital and enable Kiwisavers and other New Zealanders to invest alongside the founders and Waterman Capital.
