Entec hosts seminars on the latest advances in Gas Detection
Auckland-based Entec, a provider of mechanical, electrical, instrumentation and gas detection solutions, has recently hosted seminars on the latest advances in portable gas detection technology.
The seminars were held on June 21st and 22nd in Auckland and New Plymouth, and were presented in association with Industrial Scientific. Based in Pittsburgh, PA in the United States, Industrial Scientific is a leading manufacturer of portable gas detection instruments.
The topics covered in the seminars included the latest innovations in portable and area gas monitors, the introduction of wireless peer-to-peer networking between instruments, and the ability to use these gas monitors to provide protection for personal working alone.
Hailing from a multitude of different industries, seminar attendees were also given a chance to use the latest gas detection equipment in a hands-on demonstration. The final session of the seminar provided an insight into upcoming technological developments planned by Industrial Scientific.
The seminars were well attended, with representation from Health and Safety and Operational staff from a variety of industries including civil works, waste water treatment, dairy, oil and gas and a number of safety and industrial hygiene consultants.
“It was really interesting to hear about the way technology has evolved to help us keep our people safer”, commented one participant from the civil industry.
“We take this technology for granted in our home lives but it can now be used for gas hazards, and for people working in hazardous situations when alone.”
Entecs’ goal is to give NZ industries swift access to the latest worldwide gas detection technology has to offer, so kiwi workers can rest assured that they are safe in their work environment.
Due to the success of these events, Entec plans to host other seminars in the future to showcase and familiarise industry leaders with the next generation of gas detection products.
