Simply More at Ingram Micro Showcase 2017
Auckland, New Zealand, 19 June 2017 – Ingram Micro, New Zealand’s largest distributor of technology products, says that Showcase 2017, its premier event being held later this month in Christchurch, and in Wellington and Auckland in July, is the biggest and best yet.
Gary Bigwood, Executive Managing Director, Ingram Micro New Zealand, says the local IT industry is continuing to change and evolve with ever increasing speed, making it all the more important for resellers to maximise opportunities to network and stay up to date with the latest technology developments.
“We saw considerable growth in 2016 with ongoing demand for new and exciting technologies that simply deliver more to users across the enterprise, SMB and consumer segments alike. We are seeing this momentum continue in 2017, so for Showcase this year we have brought even more to the table.”
“At Showcase 2017 we are providing the ultimate platform to display and demonstrate the latest our industry has to offer, supported by a wide range of specialist speakers providing insights into market growth and new opportunities,” says Bigwood.
Just some of the product highlights for Showcase 2017 include the latest Microsoft Studio and Surface Hub, security offerings from HP around print and integrated privacy screens, new iPad Pro models from Apple, Intel’s Optane memory that can optimise existing PC performance when running Windows 10, and multi-vendor solutions around Unified Communications, Pro AV and much much more.
Keynote speakers at Showcase 2017 include leading financial journalist and commentator Bernard Hickey, senior lecturer at The University of Auckland Dr Michelle Dickinson (aka Nanogirl), education futurist Frances Valintine and LinkedIn specialist Kate Nankivell.
“Our speakers reflect the diversity and opportunities that technology offers and the impact it continues to have on business and end-user alike. It’s about understanding how technology is changing the way New Zealanders live, work and play. That’s why we are strongly emphasising to all our channel partners that their customers are also more than welcome to attend. We want them to come along and see first-hand the business benefits that are possible when you are using the latest generation of business solutions.”
“New Zealand’s digital transformation is taking place right here, right now. The exponential growth of the ICT industry is a testament to how we are adapting to meet this increasing demand from New Zealand businesses and individuals alike. Showcase 2017 is the one-stop shop to see and experience the latest in technology, while networking with over 2,000 other IT professionals,” says Bigwood.
