THree Wins Friday Night, Mediaworks Radio Remains Number One Network in NZ

Three won the night on Friday in the 25-54, 18-39 and 18-49 demographics, with The Graham Norton Show (25-54) and 7 Days (25-54, 18-39, Household Shoppers with Kids) winning their timeslots.

Earlier in the week, The Project won the current affairs audience on Monday evening in all four demographics, with a 5.2 rating in the 25-54 audience. On Tuesday evening, SVU also won its timeslot in 25-54 and the weekend saw Sunday Blockbuster Pitch Perfect, win its timeslot in all four demographics.

Radio Survey results were released on 4th May with MediaWorks Radio remaining the most popular radio network in New Zealand according to latest GfK Total New Zealand Commercial Radio Survey, reaching 2,262,100 listeners every week across its nine radio brands – an increase of 53,200 from November 2016 and its largest ever.

Total audience share for New Zealand is singing the same tune with MediaWorks stations laying claim to 51.4 percent of the listening audience – 14.2 percentage points ahead of its closest competitor. In the key 25-54 commercial demographic, MediaWorks boasts the top four stations nationwide: The Rock, The Edge, More FM and The Breeze.

Finally, Magic, MediaWorks newest radio station is now available in the following South Island regions:

Timaru (103.5FM), Ashburton (103.7FM), Oamaru (94.4FM), Greymouth (105.9FM), Hokitika (105.9FM) and Westport (95.7FM).
