Meet New Zealand in one day at CINZ MEETINGS
CINZ MEETINGS 2017 is the opportunity for event organisers to plan their next year in a day, and to meet all New Zealand under one roof.
Registrations are now open for day buyers looking for ideas for their next meeting, conference, incentive travel, or business event.
“We are inviting everyone responsible for meetings and events, and who want to make the most of their time, to spend a few valuable hours at MEETINGS 2017,” says Sue Sullivan, Conventions and Incentives New Zealand (CINZ) Chief Executive.
The two-day exhibition at ASB Showgrounds on 31 May and 1 June showcases all aspects of the country’s business events industry and is a one-stop shop for people planning events.
“Registration is free and event organisers can attend as day buyers on either day. They will have access to 198 exhibitors from 19 New Zealand regions spread across two pavilions and can roam at their leisure,” she says.
The new Education Hub at CINZ MEETINGS 2017 is another drawcard for event professionals. Set in the centre of the show floor, the lounge-style space has a coffee cart and comfortable seating, and will be a go-to place for MEETINGS visitors to work and network and find out more about the diverse training and up-skilling programmes available.
Day buyers attending on either of the exhibition days also get to enjoy a gourmet lunch courtesy of Millennium Hotels and Resorts, and to be entertained at the Celebrity Speakers’ Showcase.
“The Millennium Hotels and Resorts’ lunch events are not to be missed and promise a feast of stylish food and brilliant entertainment on both days at MEETINGS,” Sue Sullivan says.
Millennium’s Stars on Show day buyers’ lunch events will be highlighting the group’s growing number of hotel brands, including M Social’s new generation of hospitality, Grand Millennium - the ideal conference and event hotel and the largest hotel in New Zealand, the range of Copthorne business hotels, and the Kingsgate hotels around the regions.
This year’s line-up for the Celebrity Speakers’ Showcase includes media personality Mike Puru, broadcaster Sacha McNeil, emergency doctor and writer Dr Tom Mullholland, former Christchurch Boy’s High School head boy Jake Bailey, athletes Lisa Tamati and Liam Malone, and technology entrepreneur Melissa Clark-Reynolds.
Day buyers have two options for MEETINGS and online registration is free. If they have time, they can join the online diary of the pre-scheduled appointment programme, to arrange a few key appointments ahead of time. Alternatively, they are welcome to tour the exhibition in their own time and meet with those exhibitors of interest in an appointment-free setting.
“This is a great opportunity to learn more about the regions by visiting the Convention Bureau stand for each area, and explore new ideas for venues, catering, entertainment, team building, luxury and boutique lodges, event technology, theming and design for social events, and transport options.”
Parking at ASB Showgrounds during MEETINGS is free. The full day buyer programme is available online at www.meetings.co.nz.
