2017 Quality Service Awards Winners
PRESS RELEASE: 2017 Quality Service Awards Winners
Available for immediate release. April 05, 2017.
The New Zealand companies that consistently deliver the very best customer service have been revealed.
New Zealand consumers’ opinions have been canvassed and the 2017 NZ Quality Service Awards (QSA) are the result, with an awards ceremony taking place on Thursday 6 April, 1pm-4pm, at The Langham Hotel, Auckland. Media welcome.
“Winning this award really sets you apart from your competitors,” notes Reader’s Digest managing director Walter Beyleveldt, who will present the awards. “You understand that a successful business not only needs good products but, crucially, you need satisfied and loyal customers. Having excellent customer service gives you a smart, competitive advantage that is essential to commercial success. Congratulations and keep up the great work!”
The awards recognise customer service satisfaction in categories as varied as supermarkets, real estate agencies, retirement villages, roadside assistance, hotels and internet service providers.
Leading market research company Catalyst Research was commissioned by New Zealand Reader’s Digest to independently survey a representative sample of 1,500 New Zealand adults.
To qualify to vote on a category survey respondents were required to have recently used such a service. Survey respondents were then asked to rank their personal experience of a company’s service according to:
1) Personalisation – Was an individual
customer experience provided?
2) Understanding – Was a
genuine insight for the customer’s needs
demonstrated?
3) Simplicity – Was dealing with the
company quick and easy?
4) Reliability – Was a
consistently high-quality service delivered?
5)
Satisfaction – Was the customer’s expectation met, or
even exceeded?
The highest rated companies were judged the Gold Standard Winner, with the next closest recognized as the Silver Standard Winner.
The Gold winners of 2017 are: Liquorland, New World, Novotel, P&O Cruises, Michael Hill, Merchant 1948, T&T Childrenswear, TSB Bank, Unichem, Powershop, Ray White, Resene, Southern Cross – Pet Insurance and Health Insurance, Specsavers, Skinny Mobile, Farmers, Bridgestone/Firestone, Millers, Burgerfuel, House of Travel, Budget, Hell Pizza, 100% Appliances, Westpac, State, Ryman Healthcare, Flooring Xtra, 1Cover, 2degrees, AA Insurance, AA Life, AA Roadservice, AA Smartfuel, Smiths City, Jetstar, Columbus Coffee, DHL, Mitre 10 and Paper Plus.
