Facilities Integrate moves to September in 2017, partners with NZSA
After a careful review of feedback received from the successful 2016 Facilities Integrate trade show’s visitor and exhibitor surveys, organisers have moved the dates for this year’s show forward to September and it will remain in this time frame in future.
Organiser North Port Events has also announced a further key partnership with the New Zealand Security Association (NZSA).
This year, Facilities Integrate is taking place on Wednesday, 27 September and Thursday, 28 September at the ASB Showgrounds in Auckland. Organiser and North Port Events CEO Dona White says the revised date is considered more suitable by many participants because both the facilities and Installer/Integrater sectors have more demanding workloads in the November/December period.
She notes that collaboration with construction, facilities management, specifiers and architectural industry bodies is an essential component in the ongoing success of Facilities Integrate. “We’re therefore proud to reveal that the NZSA is coming on board for the first time this year.”
The NZSA is the largest representative body for the security industry in New Zealand, and represents more than 85 per cent of the industry by revenue.
The partnership will strengthen the show’s appeal, White says.
“By associating and working with the key industry groups supporting these critical business sectors, we gain vital industry knowledge that enables us to offer thought provoking content, and reach a wider audience for show participants to network and trade with, resulting in meaningful new business relationships and sales,” she notes.
Gary Morrison, Chief Executive Officer at the NZSA says Facilities Integrate is the year’s biggest industry event and largest gathering of companies involved in designing, creating, maintaining - and now securing - buildings in New Zealand.
“We couldn’t be happier to be a part of the show, it’s an honour for us to get our brand recognised at a trade show of such high calibre. It’s also a great opportunity for us to network with our current members, source new members, and learn more from international industry-leading experts during the speaker sessions,” he explains.
“For show attendees, it’s an opportunity to learn more about the NZSA, the latest technologies and build a reputable list of suppliers,” Morrison adds.
Facilities Integrate combines the two rapidly converging worlds of building design and construction, with the solutions and services provided by the computer and networking industry. It is an invaluable resource for businesses and provides a unique showcase for those who design, operate, maintain and upgrade buildings, facilities and infrastructure, or design, install and integrate AV and ICT systems.
Other industry bodies that participate in Facilities Integrate include ASIS New Zealand, Facilities Management Association of New Zealand, Energy Management Association New Zealand, KNX and NABERSNZ with the New Zealand Green Building Council.
“We’ll be working closely with all our industry partners on the best learning content, trending topics, technological advances and other educational show features to ensure professional, financial and industry benefits as well as business development for our show attendees,” White concludes.
