Three Continues Friday Night Winning Streak And Jono And Ben Trends Number One on Youtube Worldwide
This week saw Three win Friday night for the third week running with The Graham Norton Show, 7 Days, Fail Army and Newshub Late all time slot winners in the key 25-54 demographic.
Jono and Ben’s BBC parody featuring Renee Lyons, a spoof of the iconic BBC interview, went viral over the weekend with over 14 million views resulting in it being the number one trending video on YouTube worldwide. The original Facebook post has also reached over 79 million people and has been viewed more than 34 million times.
Married at First Sight continues to dominate the first half of the week, winning its timeslot on both Monday andTuesday evening, across all four demos. The Block Australia finale also won its timeslot on Tuesday evening in the 25-54 and 18-49 demographic.
In tribute to the late Murray Ball, Saturday night saw Three’s family movie Footrot Flats: The Dog’s Tale win its slot in the 25-54, 18-49, 18-39 and Household Shoppers with kids 0-14 demographic. Sunday’s blockbuster premiere, Pitch Perfect 2, also won its slot in 18-49 and 18-39.
Season three of The Bachelor premiered at 7pm, Sunday March 19th winning its timeslot in the 25-54, 18-49 and 18-39 demographic. Live streams of the show were also up 50 percent year-on-year and ThreeNow also saw over 11,000 streams between the shows availability at 8pm, and midnight.
Finally, Newshub Live at 4pm launches today, presented by Susie Nordqvist. The show will feature live content and studio interviews at a faster pace than traditional 6pm or late programmes.
