New Zealand announces new executive appointment

Auckland, New Zealand. 17 March 2017. Tourism Malaysia New Zealand region announces the appointment of Mr. Rosli Reshid to the position of Director.

Rosli will oversee all of the New Zealand marketing and administration operations and replaces Ms Zalina Ahmad who has returned to Tourism Malaysia’s head office in Putrajaya.

Most recently from a posting in Japan, Rosli joins the New Zealand team with a long and esteemed career with Tourism Malaysia who he joined in 1990 as part of the marketing team and has since worked in the marketing division, Director General’s office and a number of international postings.

Rosli’s tourism career also included working in regional office in the state of Sabah.

Commenting on his New Zealand posting, Rosli says he promises to “make some noise” in the New Zealand market using strategic product initiatives, value add propositions to demonstrate Malaysia’s excellent value for money and compelling content that inspires kiwis to indulge their love of food, nature and travel all in one destination.

A classic car enthusiast, Rosli also has a passion for diving and golf, two experiences which Malaysia is renowned the world over for and that Rosli hope to indulge in whilst he calls New Zealand home.
