Awards Finalists Announced
The third round of the 2017 New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards regional finalists have been announced.
Central Plateau and West Coast/Top of the South announced their finalists this week, after completion of the preliminary judging.
The New Zealand Dairy Industry Awards are supported by national sponsors Westpac, DairyNZ, DeLaval, Ecolab, Federated Farmers, Fonterra Farm Source, Honda Motorcycles, LIC, Meridian Energy, and Ravensdown, along with industry partner Primary ITO.
General Manager Chris Keeping says judges have been extremely impressed with the quality of entrants this year.
“This is an incredibly busy time on the farm, and it shows the high-calibre of the entrants that they are continuing to run their business and do their jobs on a daily basis, as well as prepare for the competition,” says Chris.
“The Dairy Industry Awards aren’t just about winning, they are about education, networking and growth. The people living and breathing the dairy industry have upbeat and positive attitudes. The future looks good.”
Regional winners will be announced at Regional Awards Dinners around New Zealand. Tickets are still available for these dinners and can be purchased online at www.dairyindustryawards.co.nz.
Regional Winners progress to the National Final and are judged by a national judging team to determine the national winners and placegetters of each competition. National winners will be announced on Saturday 6 May 2017 at Sky City Auckland.
