WAIKATO HOTELS WIN IN 2017 TRIPADVISOR® WORLD TRAVELLER AWARDS
Hamilton accommodation provider ‘Camelot on Ulster’ has been named in the top 10 hotels in New Zealand in the 2017
TripAdvisor® Travellers’ Choice Awards.
Camelot on Ulster owners Mark and Alix Boe have been running the family-owned and operated motel for the past four
years, and this is the second year running they have received this recognition from TripAdvisor®. Mark’s parents
originally built and ran the motel before returning to run the accommodation complex with his wife Alix.
“We both feel very privileged and honoured to have received the award, especially since we are an older motel and have
had to put so much time and effort into refurbishing our rooms” said Mr Boe.
“We appreciate the positive feedback as we work really hard to treat our guests in a warm, friendly and professional
manner” added Mrs Boe.
Hamilton & Waikato Tourism Chief Executive, Jason Dawson, says the win is a huge achievement considering its ranking is based on
the customer experience.
“Not only do the reviews and ratings reflect the quality and refurbished accommodation they offer, it’s fantastic to
receive endorsement around the exceptional service Mark & Alix both deliver as hosts” he says.
“We are very proud of all our operators who have ranked highly across all hotel categories such as “Best Service” and “B” in the 2017 TripAdvisor Travellers’ Choice Award. This is a win not just for them but also for the local tourism
industry” added Mr Dawson.
Other Waikato accommodation providers to be listed include; Astra Motor Lodge in Hamilton (no. 3 for Best Service),
Argent Motor Lodge in Hamilton (no. 15 for Best Service), Tower Road Motel in Matamata (no. 3 for Bargain Hotel), and
Chestnut Lane Cottage in Matamata (no. 9 for B).
