Ford kicks off the year with a 5 star rating
The New Zealand SUV market has grown to include another 5 star ANCAP safety rated vehicle with the addition of the new
Ford Escape.
The medium SUV comes equipped with a good range of safety features, including Emergency Brake Assist (EBA), Electronic
Stability Control (ESC), Autonomous Emergency Braking at city speeds, which helps to prevent nose to tails, Attention
Assist for when drivers get fatigued and Trailer Stability Control.
AA Motoring Services General Manager Stella Stocks says the Escape is a well-rounded car for everyday use and comes in
at an affordable price point in the market.
“It’s done exceptionally well in the overall crash tests, with solid cabin integrity and good pedestrian protection,
which means in terms of safety it stands up well,” says Ms Stocks.
“Overall it offers New Zealanders an affordable, safe, family option,” she adds.
