Teletrac Navman recognised as Trans Tasman Market Leader

TELETRAC NAVMAN IN POLE POSITION AS TRANS TASMAN MARKET LEADER

Fleet Management Market To Double In Size By 2020

Auckland, NZ, 15 December 2016 - Teletrac Navman has been recognized as the fleet management market leader across New Zealand and Australia according to international market research firm, Berg Insight.

The Berg Insight report also predicted that the fleet management market in New Zealand and Australia could double in size by 2020. Berg Insight expects that the number of fleet management systems in active use will grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of 16.0 percent from 0.5 million units in 2015 to 1.1 million by 2020.

Berg Insight ranks Teletrac Navman, a global leader in GPS tracking and fleet management solutions, as the largest provider across New Zealand and Australia, noting it has around 80,000 active units in the region, and holds a strong position in both countries.

According to Berg Insight, the fleet management market in the region is today influenced by a number of different market drivers including regulatory developments such as health and safety regulations, road user charges and electronic work diaries.

“Regulatory compliance is a huge driver for growth in the fleet management market, and it’s a key focus for Teletrac Navman,” said Ian Daniel, Vice President of Asia Pacific at Teletrac Navman.

“The report reflects what we’re hearing from our customers. Businesses need operational efficiencies, such as reduced fuel costs, but they’re particularly focused on the safety and compliance benefits that fleet management systems provide.

“We’re also delighted that the report highlights our position as the largest provider of fleet management services across New Zealand and Australia,” continued Daniel.

“We have a long standing presence in New Zealand, back to the formation of Navman, and now have a global reach with Teletrac Navman software and equipment tracking fleet vehicles across six continents.”
