ASB: New Zealand Bank of the Year four years running

ASB has been named New Zealand Bank of the Year for the fourth consecutive year by Financial Times-owned magazine The Banker.

ASB received the award at the 17th annual International Bank of the Year awards held in London last night.

The awards recognise and celebrate the best banks from around the world. Winners are chosen from entries that successfully demonstrate the positive impact each is making within its local market.

ASB Chief Executive Barbara Chapman says ASB is extremely proud to be recognised as New Zealand Bank of the Year for the fourth year-in-a-row.

“The financial services industry is experiencing rapid change and ASB is delighted to be acknowledged for outstanding innovation and using technology to provide exceptional experiences for our customers, however they choose to engage with us,” Ms Chapman says.

ASB’s entry highlighted the launch of ASB’s interactive digital moneybox Clever Kash, a financial literacy tool developed to help Kiwi kids learn good money management habits.

Other innovation highlights include developments to ASB Card Control and the launch of ASB Virtual, among other new digital tools for customers.

The Banker celebrates its 90th anniversary this year, making it the longest-running international banking title.
