Tiger Streats Brings Together Top Singapore Street Food And Kiwi Fine Dining for Unique Culinary Collaboration
New Zealand, 01 December, 2016, To celebrate the power of Tiger Beer and street food to bring us closer, Tiger Beer has
launched Tiger STREATS. An intriguing dining concept, where two chefs who live worlds apart, but share the honour of
culinary fame, join forces. A global event, Tiger STREATS kicked off last week in Sydney and has now arrived in
Auckland, before moving onto New York City and wrapping up in Kuala Lumpur.
Hawker Chan, of the first Michelin-starred hawker stand Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle in Singapore, has paired up with Nick Honeyman, chef of highly acclaimed restaurant Paris Butter, who has worked under Pascal Barbot at Michelin-starred restaurant, Astrance. Typically awarded to the most upmarket
restaurants, the Michelin star that Hawker Chan’s Hong Kong Soya Sauce Chicken Rice and Noodle stand was awarded has
seen its popularity flourish, with people often queuing for hours to experience the food.
Because the most beautiful things are born from clash and contrast, the two chefs have collaborated on a Tiger STREATS
dish: Oriental Rice Pudding. The dish features Nick Honeyman’s signature velvety Riz au Lait French rice pudding paired with Hawker Chan’s
distinctive Asian flavoured Butternut puree. Chef Nick Honeyman was inspired by his meeting with Hawker Chan and
incorporated Mandarin Puree and a Black Sesame Crumb, reflecting the mandarin peel used in Hawker Chan’s signature dish.
This delicious combination of contrasting textures and flavours that complement each other are brought together as one
complete dish.

To embrace streetfood within New Zealand Tiger STREATS has also created a unique bar at the Auckland Night Noodle
Markets (November 30 – December 4), where visitors will be able to enjoy the market’s Tiger STREATS seating area – a
place where people sit shoulder to shoulder with friends old and new, and can make connections over street food and a
chilled Tiger beer.
This is also your chance to try the delicious Tiger STREATS dish, a variation on the Collaboration Riz au Lait, which
feautres Mandarin Puree and a Black Sesame Crumb, and is only available in limited numbers from the Tiger STREATS stall

Tiger STREATS events were held in Sydney (24 - 26 November) and are to take place in Auckland (30 November – 4 December
at the Auckland Night Noodle Markets), followed by New York (7 - 9 December) and Kuala Lumpur (17 December).
