WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff has appointed John Seward as the Geotechnics and Tunnels Team Manager in New Zealand.

Mr Seward is a skilled geotechnical engineer with experience in the Transport, Property and Power markets.

WSP | Parsons Brinckerhoff Section Executive for Geotechnics and Tunnels Mr Doug Graham said Mr Seward’s appointment aligns with the company’s strategic growth in New Zealand.

‘John’s experience in geotechnics, engineering geology and geo-environmental engineering complements our NZ-based team.

‘He has worked on high and low-rise residential developments, city centre regeneration, healthcare and education, geothermal and hydro power projects, mine infrastructure, railway and roading infrastructure and numerous geotechnical site investigations.

‘John has a strong background leading projects involving building geotechnics, reinforced earth, slope stability assessment, modelling and remediation.

‘His emphasis on technically-sound geotechnical solutions will be invaluable to our clients, our team and it will strengthen our offering for the City Rail Loop,’ said Mr Graham.

Mr Seward started in the Auckland office on 28 November 2016.
