Tower Insurance mobilises response team
Tower has mobilised its Earthquake Response Team as access to earthquake affected areas continues to improve.
The team, based in Hanmer Springs, will start visiting Tower Insurance customers from Monday 21 November. Customers in the region can expect to see the team checking that they are okay and whether any assistance is needed to make emergency repairs or provide temporary accommodation.
Tower General Manager Claims & Strategy, Glenys Talivai, said that while initial claim numbers were relatively low, it is important to visit the area to support customers and understand the impacts of the quakes.
“Our thoughts are with those who have been affected by the quakes and our team are on the ground to help get customers’ homes and businesses restored and their lives back on track.
“We will be visiting customers in the Kaikoura, Waiau, Culverden, Cheviot, Hurunui, Seddon and Ward areas initially and as access permits, the surrounding rural areas. If customers are not at home when we attend, we will leave a card to let them know we have visited,” said Ms Talivai.
Customers are encouraged to stay safe, check their property, photograph any damage and then call us, and the EQC. Customers who require assistance or need to lodge a claim are encouraged to contact us on 0800 379 372 or visit our website, tower.co.nz, for more information.
