SEVEN PUMPKIN PATCH STORES TO CLOSE

Having advised the affected staff, the receivers of Pumpkin Patch Limited (In Receivership and Administrators Appointed), have confirmed the closure of seven Pumpkin Patch stores, with the loss of 57 jobs.

The stores are:

• Ponsonby

• Takapuna

• Henderson

• Te Rapa

• Wanganui

• Coastlands (Charlie & Me)

• Hornby

Receiver, Brendon Gibson said the likely closure of some Pumpkin Patch stores had been signalled when the business was placed in receivership on Wednesday.

“Unfortunately, having now had time to assess these stores’ financial viability, it is necessary to close them in an effort to stabilise the broader business.

“We acknowledge this is a difficult time for all Pumpkin Patch employees. Staff have been advised of their store closure and the receivers’ intention to pay all entitlements to a maximum of $22,160 (gross) per employee. They have also been given access to EAP support services,” Mr Gibson said.

The stores will close on or before 8 November.

Mr Gibson noted that Australian operations remain under review and no closures had yet been confirmed.
