Well, there’s good news for all nominated cooks with My Food Bag bringing back its popular and easy-to-prepare festive feast for 2016.
A stress free and equally delicious Christmas is, once again, a reality as My Food Bag presents two popular three-course festive feast options; while Bargain Box introduces its first Christmas Box option.
This year’s menu for My Food Bag features favourite Kiwi Christmas classics with a variety of canapés, mains, sides and salads. To top it all off, there is a seriously impressive dessert – Brown Sugar Pavlova with Barberries, Salted Caramel and Toasted Coconut - a Kiwi classic with a gourmet twist.
For 2016, My Food Bag’s Christmas Bag is available in a small or large option. The Small Christmas Bag feeds four to six people for $199.00, while the Large Christmas Bag feeds eight to 10 for $319.00.
With every order placed, customers can also order a 1kg box of New Zealand cherries for $24.99.
Bargain Box will also be enjoying its very first Christmas with a menu the whole family will love. The crowd-pleasing line-up includes a ham, two marinated butterflied chickens and heaps of sides, plus a classic Kiwi pavlova. The Bargain Box Christmas Box feeds eight to 10 people for $199.99 (+ $10 for delivery).

About My Food Bag & Bargain Box
My Food Bag launched its home delivery service into New Zealand in 2013. Customers order online and receive food bags containing recipes for a week’s main dinner meals. The bags contain best in season, fresh ingredients that are locally sourced where possible.
In June 2016, My Food Bag expanded its offering with a new brand: Bargain Box. Super affordable Bargain Box cuts the frills to deliver great value ingredients and recipes while providing plenty of leftovers (or meals for unexpected guests).
All My Food Bag recipes are developed according to co-founder Nadia Lim’s Nude Food philosophy of ignoring the hype, trusting your instincts and eating real food.
The My Food Bag and Bargain Box business is the brainchild of entrepreneur Cecilia Robinson, founder and co-CEO alongside her husband James Robinson. Prominent New Zealand businesswoman Theresa Gattung is also involved in the business as an active shareholder, co-founder and director. Business leader Kevin Roberts is chairman of the My Food Bag board.
In October 2016 My Food Bag announced it had successfully secured investment from Waterman Capital. This partnership will support My Food Bag in achieving its ambition to IPO within the next three years to raise further capital and enable Kiwisavers and other New Zealanders to invest alongside the founders and Waterman Capital.
