Cambridge company crowdfunding new creative arts hub
Keys2Success, a Cambridge performing
arts studio, have today launched an equity crowdfunding
campaign on PledgeMe to fund the fitout of their new
creative arts hub on Milicich Place.
After arriving
back to her hometown from Kansas City in 2010, Maxine Nelson
and her husband, Ray - both accomplished musicians - began a
performing arts academy for people of all ages and
abilities.
“We learned a lot from our time in the States and we came back to Cambridge with a vision of creating a community that brought people together to experience freedom and expression through the vehicle of the creative arts” says Keys2Success founder Maxine Nelson.
“Keys2Success is about giving every member of a family, our own included, and everybody in the local community an opportunity to learn and enjoy the experience of singing, playing music, dance or drama.”
RM Nelson Property
Limited, trading as Keys2Success, is seeking to raise
between $234,000 and $300,000 which represents 29.7%–35.1%
of the company. Shares are $500 each with a minimum
investment of $500.
“Our studio has been spread
throughout multiple locations in town. With this investment,
we’ll be able to bring it all under one roof in a place
where our community calls home” says Nelson.
“We
love the idea of our crowd owning the hub as their own.
We’re delighted to be able to give the people of
Cambridge, and beyond, the chance to join our journey in a
meaningful way by being the foundation that supports our new
building.”
