Innovations & Huge Variety at Auckland Better Home & Living Show
Greener gardening; the world’s first smart trampoline; electric cars, bikes and scooters; organic wineries; sustainable furniture and flooring and are just some of the things that visitors can find out about at the Auckland Better Home & Living Show. For three days, from Friday 28 October, the event will bring the future in home and lifestyle improvements to the North Shore Events Centre as over 190 exhibitors showcase emerging trends, cutting-edge innovations and industry expertise.
Landscaping, plants, garden art, kitchens, bathrooms, beds, furniture, spas, solar solutions and travel will be on display, along with everything else essential for enhancing visitors’ homes and lives. There will be something for everyone amongst the five distinct sections, which cover Better Homes, Better Gardens, Better Bodies & Minds, Better Transport and Better Communities. To top it off, visitors will be treated to show-only bargains that they won’t find anywhere else.
This year’s show sees the debut of the Floral Art Designer of the Year award, which has been hugely popular elsewhere and attracts entries from top local designers. The vibrant displays will depict the theme ‘Circus’. A live butterfly display in the Moths & Butterflies of New Zealand Trust gazebo will add to the colour and vibe.
Show Director, Josh Shanley, says “The show will inform and inspire anyone wanting to improve their lifestyle in a sustainable way by showcasing tomorrow’s ideas, today. It will be packed with hundreds of products and heaps of clever innovations. Anyone planning improvements should bring in their plans and discuss them with the experts on site. There will also be a series of free daily seminars by trade professionals, with the most up-to-date information on gardening, kitchens, bathrooms, solar solutions, back health and choosing colour.”
One lucky visitor will win a week’s holiday for two in Fiordland thanks to Real Journeys. The Discovery Expedition tour explores Fiordland aboard a crewed, modern vessel, delving in to the rich natural and human histories of the region, with opportunities to disembark and explore relics of settlements long past with a nature guide. To enter, show visitors need only supply their details at the show entrance. The winner will be drawn when the show closes on Sunday evening and will be announced on More FM Auckland the following day.
