Hybrid City is Here
Auckland City Toyota have adapted their Greenlane dealership to provide industry leading information, expertise and servicing for all Toyota hybrid vehicles in Auckland, a literal one stop shop for hybrids.
The energy efficiency & Conservation Authority (EECA) note that hybrid vehicles have good fuel economy ratings to comparable petrol and diesel vehicles. As a consequence, they have lower fuel emissions making them a better choice for the environment.
“Hybrid vehicles are significantly cheaper to run, with models like the Prius using just 3.4L to 100km, making hybrids the perfect choice for the city dwellers everyday commutes in Auckland’s heavy traffic” Says Tom Barrow General Manger for Auckland City Toyota Greenlane.
Auckland City Toyota’s Greenlane staff have received extensive training surrounding hybrid vehicles that will allow them to find a hybrid that best suits the client’s needs and expectations.
2016 data released from the ministry of transport shows an increase in the number of used hybrid vehicle registrations across New Zealand and with the recent addition of the corolla hybrid, Auckland City Toyota expect sales of new hybrids to also increase.
Currently Toyotas hybrid line-up includes; the Prius, Prius-C, plug in Prius, Corolla and the Camry, this growing line up reflects both the public interest in electric vehicles and Toyotas commitment to lowering carbon emissions and ensuring an environmentally sustainable New Zealand.
Used signature class Prius Plug in Hybrid vehicles are currently available in limited numbers with more expected be arriving in the coming months.
In anticipation of this Auckland City Toyota are currently in the process of installing fast changing stations at each of their three dealerships across Auckland.
The fast charging stations will be free to use by the public regardless of the make and model of their vehicle.
With the growing number of vehicles on the road Auckland City Toyota believe they have a responsibility to the people of Auckland to reduce vehicle emissions and do their part for the environmental sustainability of New Zealand.
