Sysdoc recognised with fourth international learning innovation award in 2016
Florida, USA - September, 2016 – Sysdoc has won a coveted Brandon Hall Group award for its work with Fonterra Co-operative Group, earning a bronze for
excellence in Blended Learning with the Dairy PRO – Capability Build Programme. With entries from the USA, Europe and
Asia, this award is further international recognition of Sysdoc as an industry leader for development and delivery of
leading edge solutions. This adds to Sysdoc’s three learning innovation awards previously earned in 2016.
This award recognises Sysdoc for its ability to effectively transform business requirements through the development of a
Blended Learning Programme that realised measureable benefits with a strong fit to programme design, functionality and
innovation.
Dairy PRO delivers a programme of modules that each focus on a specific aspect of Fonterra’s value chain. Learners
engage with the subjects through case studies, group challenges, field trips, expert speakers, eLearning, video,
gamified learning and critical analysis of industry trends.
Project Sponsor Chris Rowe stated that Fonterra was “looking for a programme to increase confidence, knowledge and
capability across a wide range of people in the business to build networks and facilitate greater collaboration.” Not
only did Dairy PRO meet these requirements through demonstrated behaviour change in the business, capability increase
and greater networking of teams, but Rowe noted that the strength of the Dairy PRO Programme was highlighted through the
“number of people talking about the programme; and the number of teams asking for this method to be deployed to their
department.”
As a result of the ongoing success of this programme, Dairy PRO has to date spanned eight modules over two years, and
currently the ninth and tenth modules are in development. This longevity and continued commitment from Fonterra
highlights the cost-effectiveness of blended learning programmes to adapt and remain relevant while organisations grow
and change over time.
This sentiment is backed up by Sysdoc NZ/AU CEO Desiree Botica who commented, “this award provides substantial evidence
of the success of the use of blended learning as a long term, financially stable learning approach.” She also noted that
the award further validates Sysdoc’s position as a leader in the learning innovation space. “We are very proud to
receive this blended learning award and it provides industry-wide validation of the expert work that our global
consultant team produces for our clients.”
She also credited Fonterra noting that “their continued openness to adopting a forward-thinking approach to learning
innovation was a key element for the continued success achieved by our organisations.”
