A Te Rapa café has scooped the supreme award at the recent annual 2016 Robert Harris Café Franchise Awards.
Korina and Steve Verkley, owners of the Robert Harris Café, Te Rapa were named as ‘FRANCHISEES OF THE YEAR’.
Along with the coveted title, the Verkleys have won a trip to Italy- the home of coffee.
The talented two also took home the award for ‘COFFEE PASSION’, which acknowledges their pursuit of excellence in the art of coffee making.
Held in Christchurch, the awards bring together the 42 cafés in the Robert Harris Café Network and acknowledge outstanding service and achievement.
“We continue to have strong candidates for this award every year. To be awarded Franchisee of the Year is an amazing achievement. It takes years of hard work, both in and on the business, and also acknowledges a continued pursuit of excellence. The Robert Harris Franchisee of the Year Award recognises Korina and Steve’s past and future contributions to their customers and our Network. They are a strong act to follow and heartily deserve their win,” says David Thackery, Robert Harris Café, Franchise Manager.
Mr Verkley said of their success; “Winning these awards is such a great achievement for our team. Our passion for coffee is reflected throughout our team who constantly work towards delivering outstanding hospitality to our customers.”
The Verkley’s have added the award to their growing collection alongside their “MOST IMPROVED” award which they took home in 2015.
