Warehouse Money achieves A+ for payment card data security
Warehouse Money has been given a key certification for payments security – all within the first year of launching its
brand new Warehouse Money Visa cards.
The certification – named Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard, or PCI-DSS – is a standard assessed by a
Qualified Security Assessor (QSA), and endorsed by global payments technology company Visa, to ensure financial services
organisations have robust controls in place to reduce credit card fraud and protect payment security for their
The certification is for the Warehouse Money Visa Card and Warehouse Money Purple Visa Card, two new Warehouse Money
credit card products launched in November last year.
“This is confirmation that our work to ensure our payment card data security is of the highest level,” said Hadyn Halls,
Executive General Manager for Warehouse Money. “We wanted to make sure our processes were robust right from the start,
so we can protect our customers from any breaches or theft of cardholder data.”
“Validation to PCI-DSS, and data security, is an important component of the multi-layered security strategy we have in
place to ensure the security of the payments system,” said Sam Gianniotis, Chief Risk Officer, Visa, Australia, New
Zealand and South Pacific.
“We continuously engage with all payment system stakeholders to work towards achieving PCI-DSS and adopting best
practices to safeguard payment card data,” said Gianniotis.
“We congratulate Warehouse Money for gaining validation to PCI-DSS and for achieving it so soon after launching its
Warehouse Money Visa Card and Warehouse Money Purple Card to market.”
The Warehouse Money Purple Visa Card was also recently awarded a 5-star rating by Canstar for outstanding value in its
annual ratings for Rewards cards in the New Zealand market. The award was for the $12k and under annual spend category.
