13 Sep 2016
MPI's Sustainable Farming Fund 2017/18 funding round closed on 8 September.
77 project applications were received, requesting a total of $21.4 million. Most projects are carried out over 3 years and MPI has $7 million available each year to fund the projects.
The Sustainable Farming Fund advisory panel will consider all applications in December and applicants will be notified in the New Year for projects beginning 1 July 2017. Details of the successful applicants will be available on the MPI website after applicants are notified.
Sustainable Farming Fund invests in applied research and projects led by farmers, growers, or foresters, that deliver economic, environmental, and social benefits to New Zealand.
