Century 21 listings jumped 97% this winter

While some industry figures have shown nationwide property listings falling, Century 21 New Zealand has revealed its listings sky-rocketed thispast winter. For the month of July 2016 compared to the previous July, the number of Kiwis listing with Century 21 increased by a staggering 97% across the country – almost doubling in 12 months!

“We’ve got a lot more stock which is a combination of many things. The Century 21 brand is experiencing some real momentum across New Zealand at the moment. It’s incredibly pleasing given all the effort our offices are putting in,” says Geoff Barnett - National Manager of Century 21 New Zealand.

At the company’s national awards evening in Auckland last month Joseph Lupi - principal of First Choice (Century 21’s Central Wellington office) was announced the fifth highest ranking sales office in the Australasian region out of 300. While Derryn Mayne – principal of Gold Real Estate (Century 21’s Manurewa office) was ranked 14th across Australasia.

“There was a real buzz among our franchisees and agents at this year’s awards ceremony. We’re in great shape and looking forward to another strong summer.”

Mr Barnett says Century 21 offices have recently opened in Auckland’s Ellerslie and in Kaukapakapa. While this month two more offices open in Meadowlands and Tuakau.

He says the company’s new home loans service, since 1 September, will help cement Century 21 as a strong and growing real estate brand here in New Zealand - building on its already world-famous brand and reputation for superior client service.

“We’ve been getting plenty of enquiries about our new mortgage broking service. I believe it will make a huge difference, assisting buyers and sellers to get the best available advice from leading lending experts.”

Another aspect helping Century 21 New Zealand’s momentum is the appointment of a Franchise Development Manager, Michael Clarke.

“Michael is generating a lot of new interest around establishing Century 21 start-ups and/or rebranding existing agencies to Century 21. Having someone of Michael’s skillset in business development is certainly enhancing our reach.”

Mr Barnett says Century 21 is on a growth drive across New Zealand with an eye to list more properties, open more branches, employ more people, and most importantly get more Kiwis into home ownership.

He says while the company has an open mind to the whole of New Zealand, particular interest is coming from the Greater Auckland area, Waikato, Bay of Plenty, Bay of Islands, and Christchurch.

“The growth potential for Century 21 in New Zealand is huge helped by our extremely high brand awareness. Let’s not forget we are the largest real estate company in the world. We also have all the leading technology and training systems for our salespeople, property managers and business owners. Our comprehensive global presence and global website also mean we can market property anywhere in the world. It’s a very powerful proposition,” says Mr Barnett.

The final aspect that is adding to Century 21 New Zealand’s momentum in the marketplace is the fact that the company is giving away a new Sunshine Coast apartment valued at over $425,000 to anyone interested in buying or selling property through Century 21 in New Zealand and Australia or using the group’s property management services.
