Kerikeri Gets the Sound
MediaWorks is pleased to announce The Sound will be hitting Kerikeri airwaves onSeptember 2, giving locals the opportunity to tune in to New Zealand’s number one music station for all people 25-54*.
The Sound is the station that plays the greatest music of all time, from the artists that still matter – The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, David Bowie, Pink Floyd, Queen, The Beatles, Fleetwood Mac and many more. Targeting males aged 35-59, The Sound plays the music their listeners grew up with.
MediaWorks Northland General Manager Erena Miller says, “We are thrilled to be bringing The Sound to Kerikeri and the surrounds. We have had great feedback in Whangarei since The Sound launched and an overwhelming demand from our listeners to extend The Sound further north. The Sound will also provide fantastic opportunities for local businesses to reach a loyal and attentive audience on a station where the music matters.”

The Sound Kerikeri will launch on Friday 2 September, broadcasting to Kerikeri and surrounds on 92.0FM. More FM Northland will move from the 92.0FM frequency to the newly created 107.3 FM Kerikeri. More FM listeners in the area can still tune into More FM via a number of options 107.3FM Kerikeri, 95.2FM Russell / Paihia or 91.6FM Northland wide.
