NZ Business Traveller set to launch in September
Publishers of leading travel media ‘For the Love of Travel’ are set launch an online consumer media channel aimed at New Zealand corporate and business travellers. ‘NZ Business
Traveller’ is set to take off in September and will be wholly dedicated to New Zealand travellers travelling
internationally and interstate on business.
A consumer website, ‘NZ Business Traveller’ will be packed and updated daily with latest travel news, views, reviews and
product updates that will contribute towards entertaining the business traveller, saving them time and money and making
business travel more efficient.
Speaking about the new media website, Travel Media’s Harmeet Sehgal said it has never been a better time to launch NZ
Business Traveller.
“For the Love of Travel is in its tenth year of circulation and we’ve had strong demand from our audience to have
business travel information included within ‘For the Love of Travel’. But we were sure that business travel content is
different to the ethos of ‘For the Love of Travel’ which is whole hearted leisure travel media. Therefore, it was just a
matter of when not if we launch 'NZ Business Traveller' as a separate entity and segment our audience to take advantage
of both leisure as well as business travel information under our media house”.
'NZ Business Traveller' will provide vital information to audiences that will assist in business decisions for travel.
“NZ Business Traveller’s content will not just scratch the surface in terms of views and reviews but provide an in-depth
analysis that will be true to the modern business traveller. If it’s an airline product we’re reviewing, it will have
every section of the journey revealed from check-in through to carousel,” says Sehgal.
NZ Business Traveller will bring to the table what matters most to New Zealand travellers. Airlines, hotels, car rentals
are stock-standard but the aim is to provide content around entertainment, wellness, loyalty, meetings, conferences and
incentives, travel technologies and events.
For the modern business traveller there are no set working hours and we want to ensure we deliver content to them on
every device and throughout the day, says Sehgal.
“With wearables and availability of internet at 40,000 feet, the business traveller is well connected and never off the
job so we need to push content out as soon as we have it. We’re investing in online media technologies as delivery
vehicles need to be at the forefront in providing information while ensuring privacy and security of our audiences’ data
isn’t compromised.”
NZ Business Traveller will be a responsive website and provide marketers with a host of digital marketing tools to reach
the business traveller. This will include digital banners, daily e-newsletters, HD video posts, social media marketing
and sponsored content. Central to the digital strategy is the NZ Business Traveller App soon to be available on Android
and iOS devices.
