Noel Leeming Aims to Teach Dad a New Trick This Father’s Day

Noel Leeming Aims to Teach Dad a New Trick This Father’s Day

Noel Leeming is launching its “Dad’s Ultimate Wish List” this week featuring the 2016 must-have Father’s Day gadgets.

To try and help find the perfect gift for Dad, the list suggests gifts based on four common father types: “Tech Savvy”, “Culinary”, “Cool” and “Active”. The full gift guide can be found at www.noelleeming.co.nz/Fathers-Day and features cool ideas including: the brand new Philips Vacuum Beard Trimmer which catches all the hair; a Tile bluetooth tracker to help Dad keep track of his stuff; a Philips Hue Starter Kit so he can control the lights in the house from wherever he is; a Firebox BBQ Pizza Oven - a portable pizza stone for the bbq; the Nespresso Prodigio - a smartphone enabled espresso machine; the Xbox One S – the smallest Xbox console yet; Fitbit Surge and Blaze to get him working on his fitness; the All Blacks UE Megaboom – the most popular portable speaker now with All Blacks branding; and the latest Samsung Galaxy Note 7 phone with features like iris scanning security, waterproof design, low light camera and fast charging battery.

However, it’s not just about choosing Dad the right gift this Father’s Day, it’s also important to think about teaching him how to get the most out of it, says Noel Leeming General Manager of Merchandise Jason Bell.

“There’s nothing worse than buying someone a gadget or device as a present, only to see it sitting in its box a year later,” says Mr Bell.

“There are so many cool gadgets around for 2016 that will help keep Dad up with the times. But it’s also important to give your Dad the time to talk him through the gift, unwrap it with him and help him to set it up if you’re that way inclined,” says Mr Bell.

“If you’re not too tech savvy, at Noel Leeming you can organise for Dad to have a one-on-one session with one of our specialist service team who will set up his gift for him and teach him how to use it. Some products feature a 30 minute free session,” says Mr Bell.

For the budget conscious, the list also has ideas for under $50 including special deals such as the Marley Uplift Headphones; Endeavour Easy Bluetooth speaker; the Remington Groom and Go Kit; Remington Men’s Shaver; and a single Tile bluetooth tracker.
