Generate KiwiSaver Scheme Investment Provider of Year

The Generate KiwiSaver Scheme has been awarded Investment Provider of the Year for the second year running.

At the Professional Advisers Association Excellence Awards held yesterday the Generate KiwiSaver Scheme won the Investment Provider of the Year for the second year running. Advisers were asked to rate investment providers, not only on performance but also on the quality of communications and investment statements, services and education to clients, and support to advisers.

Henry Tongue, Generate’s CEO said: “Generate would like to offer a heartfelt thanks to all the PAA Advisers who voted for us. We have a simple goal with advisers and that is to be their KiwiSaver provider of choice. It was fantastic to receive industry recognition for the hard work we put in trying to provide our advisers with a KiwiSaver scheme they can be really proud of.”

Milestone from rapid growth

Generate has recently notched up another major milestone by surpassing $250 million of funds under management. With approximately 3,750 new members last quarter, Generate is growing faster than some of the big Australian bank owned KiwiSaver schemes.

Strong returns

Generate has notched up some market leading returns since its funds were launched in April 2013. For example its Growth Fund was the number one performing KiwiSaver fund in the diversified ‘Growth’ category in calendar years 2014 and 2015. Sam Goldwater, Generate’s Portfolio Manager said: “Our unique investment proposition is delivering for our members. We will be working hard to try to ensure our members continue to get the returns they deserve.”

Educating New Zealanders about KiwiSaver One of Generate's points of difference is that their advisers take the time to sit down and walk clients through the benefits of KiwiSaver and help them find a fund that suits them. Clients find the process highly valuable with many moving out of low returning default funds into more age and risk appropriate funds at Generate. In Generate’s customer satisfaction survey 95% of new members rate this service 4 or 5 out of 5 and a valuable use of their time.
