NZ tech leader announced winner of Talent Unleashed Awards

NZ tech leader announced as winner of 2016 Talent Unleashed Awards

Five technology innovation leaders, including New Zealand company, Odocs, have been announced as winners of the APAC division at the 2016 Talent Unleashed Awards, which celebrate some of the world’s boldest and brightest tech entrepreneurs. Australian companies led the list of winners, taking away three of the five awards.

Game-changing technology and inspirational thinking marked out the winners across the spheres of healthcare, business, and banking and finance, which were selected by an impressive panel of business heavyweights, including Sir Richard Branson and Steve Wozniak. The winners hail from Australia, New Zealand and Singapore, with each winner representing the best and most audacious next-generation thinking from their respective countries.

The winners will compete against the UK and European regional winners at the global grand final event in Sydney on August 18, with grand prize winners taking away a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity with Steve Wozniak, and the overall winner triumphing with a bespoke trip to Silicon Valley.

The 2016 Talent Unleashed APAC Regional Award finalists are as follows:

Best Start Up – Social Impact: Odocs Eye Care, New Zealand

Best Start-Up – Tech Innovation: Clevertar, Adelaide, Australia

Best Digital SME – Tech Innovation: Prendi, Brisbane, Australia
