EV chargers helping the environment

Vector’s electric vehicle charging stations continue to be used regularly. Since we began installing chargers in November 2015, we have served26.36 MWh of electricity, potentially saving as much as 35,037.00 kilograms of CO2 from being emitted into the atmosphere[1].

Network summary for week ending 17 July 2016

Electricity

Vector crews were called out to attend house fires in Onehunga, Manurewa, Mangere, Mt Roskill and Castor Bay during the week. The houses were isolated for power so the Fire Service could perform their duties.

There were seven car v pole incidents across the Auckland region in Takanini, Whangaparaoa, Papatoetoe, Takapuna, Albany, Ranui and Half Moon Bay.
