Successful home delivery service launches new value-focused brand
Bargain Box is a new brand from successful food home delivery service My Food Bag promising everyday meals that cut out
the frills for an even more affordable family option.
The concept is similar to My Food Bag, with ingredients and recipes for weeknight meals delivered to your door. However,
Bargain Box focuses on affordability and has options that feed four or six adults making it perfect for families of
different sizes – especially those looking for a bargain.
Cecilia Robinson – Founder and Co-CEO of My Food Bag – says The Bargain Box Kitchen has created the meals to include
plenty of veggies, easy-to-follow instructions and tastes the whole family will love.
“The difference is that Bargain Box delivers everyday meals that cut out the frills while also appealing to family
members who might be a little pickier,” she says. “That’s why we have included Kiwi favourites such as fish and chips,
sweet and sour pork and beef burgers.
“These are also meals that can be stretched for big families or provide plenty of leftovers.”
The average Bargain Box meal starts at around $5.30 per plate, making it a great value option that’s quick and easy,
Robinson says.
“Meal planning is a proven way to cut down on food bills so you make fewer trips to the supermarket and are less tempted
to make impulse purchases. Every purchase adds up – the costs build over time - and we believe Bargain Box represents an
excellent way to not only help meet family food budgets but to stick to them as well.”
My Food Bag Co-Founder Nadia Lim says Bargain Box remains focused on helping families cook and eat together.

Bargain Box is available to order from June 21 with the first deliveries on July 3. Two options, Regular Bargain Box
(which feeds four) and Mega Bargain Box (which feeds six), are available to suit families of different sizes and
appetites:

• Regular 5 $119.99 for 5 nights (plus $10 delivery)
• Mega 3 $109.99 for 3 nights (plus $10 delivery)
• Mega 5 $159.99 for 5 nights (plus $10 delivery)
Bargain Box is launching with free delivery on first order (i.e. $10 off) for the first four weeks.

Bargain Box is a home delivery service by My Food Bag. Customers order a Bargain Box online and receive a box of
ingredients and recipes for a week’s main dinner meals. Bargain Box is brought to you by My Food Bag, which is the
brainchild of entrepreneur Cecilia Robinson, who is co-CEO alongside her husband James Robinson. Prominent New Zealand
businesswoman Theresa Gattung is involved in the business as an active shareholder, co-founder and director alongside

Bargain Box recipes are developed by My Food Bag’s team of nutritionists and chefs. All Bargain Box ingredients are
great value and use NZ ingredients wherever possible and the recipes also include nutritional analysis and cooking tips.
Bargain Box customers can cancel their orders at any time and aren’t locked into a subscription. Deliveries take place
on Sundays between 1pm and 9pm with customers receiving a TXT notification on Friday evening for confirmation of the
three hour window their box will aim to be delivered in.
