Ford Builds A Mountain For Everest At Fieldays
• The ‘Ford Everest Off the Grid Experience’ showcases the outstanding off-road capability, advanced technology and smart design of Ford NZ’s newest 7-seat SUV
• Fieldays 2016 will also be one of New Zealand’s first public appearances of the highly anticipated all-new 2016 Ford Focus RS
Auckland, 14 June 2016. Ford New Zealand’s exhibits have always been a highlight at Fieldays and this year is no exception.
Ford has created what’s sure to be an unparalleled driving experience, on a brand new course that includes a mountain, a bridge, and a tunnel – all designed to showcase the latest addition to the Ford line up; the new Ford Everest.
Attendees to Fieldays this year will be able to experience the new Ford Everest at the ‘Ford Everest Off the Grid Experience’ – a uniquely designed driving track where professional drivers will guide attendees through a range of off-road experiences while demonstrating the capabilities and refinement of the Ford Everest.
After spending several years focusing on its top-selling Ranger ute, the Ford exhibit will showcase Ford’s newest SUV model, the Ford Everest, which made its public debut at Fieldays in 2015.
The new Ford Everest is a versatile and refined SUV that is equally at home in busy urban traffic or the most extreme off-road environments. Its unique blend of tough capability and exceptional on-road comfort goes far beyond what Kiwis have come to expect from a seven-seat SUV.
“The Everest has full off-road capabilities to safely take on the most inhospitable environments,” said Simon Rutherford, Managing Director of Ford New Zealand. “But it’s also an incredibly versatile and refined SUV that is equally at home on-road and in urban environments, with a range of intuitive and practical technologies that make it one of the smartest vehicles in its segment.”
Ford NZ has a number of Fieldays specials on offer including the Ford Everest Trend at $68,990 plus ORC.
Full range of Ford NZ vehicles and activities
The event will also be one of New Zealand’s first public appearances of the highly anticipated all-new 2016 Ford Focus RS. The high-performance 2016 Focus RS boasts maximum power of 257 kW / 440 Nm from its specially tuned 2.3-litre EcoBoost engine[1]. The 2016 Ford Focus RS won Car of the Year at the prestigious 2016 Vehicle Dynamics International (VDI) Awards, and was named Top Gear Magazine’s 2016 Car of the Year.
Also sharing the pavilion will be the entire Ford NZ range of vehicles, including the All New Ford Mustang, Ford Ranger, Ford Mondeo, Ford Territory, Kuga, Fiesta ST, Falcon, the EcoSport and Transit.
Ford New Zealand head office staff and Ford dealership representatives from around the country will be on hand to answer any questions.
NZ National Agricultural Fieldays® will be held 15 – 18 June, 2016 at Mystery Creek Events Centre. Located just ten minutes from Hamilton, Mystery Creek Event Centre’s purpose-built facility is the ideal venue for the largest agricultural expo in the Southern Hemisphere. Gates open daily from 8:00am until 5:00pm, and tickets are available at the gate, or online at www.fieldays.co.nz.
