After 35 years as a real estate institution on the North Shore, Milford Real Estate Limited (MRE) is merging with the highly successful Harcourts Cooper & Co.
Tony and Jenni Ebert founded MRE in Milford, and after three decades of serving their community, the couple have decided to step away from the business and retire into a new phase of life.
Long-time friends of Martin Cooper, they have chosen Harcourts Cooper & Co to take over the property management side of the business. Many of their sales consultants will also join the Harcourts Cooper & Co award winning Milford office, working closely with the management team there.
Tony says they have found the perfect fit for their history of success to continue within Harcourts Cooper & Co.
“We believe the excellence that Martin and his team have established in the marketing of people’s homes is at the cutting edge. During their success they have demonstrated their respect and thanks to the community on the North Shore. They are great corporate citizens with their many community sponsorship programmes,” Tony says.
MRE have supported North Shore Hospice and local Campbells Bay School for many years.
Martin Cooper says he and his team thank Tony and Jenni for the legacy they are leaving, and Harcourts Cooper & Co will build on it in the years to come.
“Tony and Jenni Ebert are real estate icons. It’s a privilege to take on their property management business, as well as their staff. We will carry on their commitment to the community through the charitable giving we are proud of at Cooper & Co. Watch for great things to come.”
Some highlights from the 35-year history of MRE include:
• Marketing and selling the Mon Desir on the beach in Takapuna
• Jenni introducing and pioneering Campaign Track to New Zealand
• Jenni setting up and leading one of the first commercial and industrial offices in Takapuna
• Thousands of families helped into their new homes
• Eight years of raising money for North Shore Hospice through MRE Hospice Homes Tour
Tony Ebert was recently inducted into the North Harbour Legends of Sport for his successes in weightlifting, which included winning Gold and Silver at the Commonwealth Games, as well as being the New Zealand rep at the Munich Olympic Games in 1972. Now in his 70th year, Toni will be focusing on training for the upcoming World Masters Games in Auckland in 2017. Jenni, also a successful weightlifter, will compete alongside him.
