Warehouse Money Purple Visa Card Receives 5-star Rating

Warehouse Money Purple Visa Card Receives 5-star 2016 Canstar Rating

The Warehouse Money Purple Visa Card has been awarded a 5-star rating in the latest Canstar Credit Card Rewards star ratings report – just six months after launching.

The 5-star award for the Warehouse Money Purple Visa Card was announced today in Canstar’s annual ratings for Rewards cards in the New Zealand market. The award was for the $12k and under annual spend category.

“The new Warehouse Money Purple Visa Card caters for customers wanting a Rewards programme that gives them access to meaningful rewards no matter how little they spend on their credit cards each year,” says Hadyn Halls, Executive General Manager for Warehouse Money.

Warehouse Money’s Purple Visa Card earns two Purple Dollars every time a customer spends $150 at The Warehouse in-store or online and one Purple Dollar for every $150 spent elsewhere. The rewards can only be redeemed in store at The Warehouse.

The card also charges no set up, annual fee or additional cardholder fees. Plus, where many Rewards schemes have points that expire after three years – and some expire within six months – Purple Dollars never expire and customers can redeem their points instantly at the till on the very same card. Most other Rewards providers issue paper vouchers or require customers to go online to redeem their rewards at a later date.

“This 5-star Award reinforces that the Warehouse Money Purple Visa Card is truly providing everyday value for real Kiwis. We are very pleased to receive this recognition of our product.”

Canstar rates credit card Rewards programmes under three annual spend levels - $12,000, $24,000 and $60,000. The Warehouse Money Purple Visa Card was rated under $12K, recognising that it offers a high-value combination of both reward returns and features. Canstar compares the dollar value of points earned each year with the cost of the card and its annual fees.

Jose George, General Manager of Canstar NZ, says, “Canstar recognises outstanding value products with our highest rating of 5 stars. We congratulate Warehouse Money on providing consumers with outstanding rewards value on their Warehouse Money Purple Visa Card.”

Warehouse Money launched in November 2015 with the Warehouse Money Purple Visa Card and the Warehouse Money Credit Card in addition to a variety of insurance products. The cards represented smart and simple financial solutions to help New Zealanders make more out of their everyday.
