Dimension Data Appoints New Chief Executive Officer for Asia Pacific
Former SAP Senior Vice President and Head of Services, John Lombard, takes over responsibilities for the region
New Zealand, 3 May 2016 - Dimension Data, the USD $7.5 billion global ICT solutions and services provider, today announced the appointment of John Lombard as Chief Executive Officer of Dimension Data Asia Pacific.
Lombard joins from SAP, where he was Senior Vice President responsible for services and support across 14 countries in the Asia Pacific Japan region and was central to driving the company’s Cloud Services, Consulting, Custom Development and Education portfolio. During his time at the company, he also led the Consulting business in Australia and New Zealand and was globally responsible for Business Consulting, Business Analytics and Technology Services based out of Walldorf, Germany. Prior to SAP, Lombard was the CEO and Managing Director of Crowe Horwath Australasia Ltd. (formerly WHK Group), which was Australia and New Zealand’s largest publicly listed integrated financial and business advisory company.
Lombard takes over from Bill Padfield, who has been CEO of the region since 2003, and will move to a new role as Chairman of Dimension Data Asia Pacific.
Padfield comments, “John’s expertise and wide-ranging background in delivering services that help clients unlock the value of their IT investments will be critical as Dimension Data continues to transform itself to a next generation IT services company. Throughout his career, John has been focused on providing consultancy that drives transformation and ensures clients keep up with the latest market trends and stay ahead of the competition; we look forward to him doing the same at Dimension Data.”
Speaking of Padfield’s contributions, Jason Goodall, Chief Operating Officer at Dimension Data adds, “Bill has quadrupled the revenue for the Asia Pacific region during his 13 years’ stint as CEO, and built a strong talented team with a keen commitment to client and employee satisfaction.”
Lombard, who will take up his new role on 3 May, will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of Dimension Data Asia Pacific Group's operations, and continue to drive its transition into a world-class IT services company. He will be based in the company’s regional headquarters in Singapore.
