April update from the Southern Partnership Group
The Southern Partnership Group (SPG) has had a busy month meeting with a range of stakeholders to help inform the redevelopment of Dunedin Hospital.
SPG members met with the Ministers of Health and Finance in late March to discuss the next phases of the redevelopment work. A Strategic Business Case is expected to be presented to the Capital Investment Committee and Ministers later this year. The Chair of SPG has also met with Dunedin’s Mayor and Dunedin City Council’s Chief Executive.
Meanwhile, Sapere Research Group, who has been contracted to deliver the Strategic Services Plan to help inform the redevelopment, has set up a series of workshops with Southern DHB staff. The workshops will run until mid-May.
A workshop to discuss the design of a financial model for Southern DHB was also held with representatives from the DHB, Treasury and Ministry of Health. The model is needed for any work on options which arise from the Indicative and Detailed Business Cases.
